Most regulatory standards require employers to evaluate the effectiveness of their safety protocols prior to, and
throughout the implementation of, respective safety programs. It is common for these assessments to be performed
at least annually, or when equipment/facility modifications potentially render a previously established policy or
program inaccurate or ineffective.
