Most regulatory standards require employers to evaluate the effectiveness of their safety protocols prior to, and
throughout the implementation of respective safety programs. It is common for these assessments to be performed
at least annually, or when equipment/facility modifications potentially render a previously established policy or
program inaccurate of ineffective.
Auditing can be accomplished either internally, through the use of a third-party service provider or a combination of
the two. Regardless of your approach, careful attention should be paid to analyzing existing documentation as
compared to present floor conditions and making modifications, where necessary, to your programs.
There is no substitute for laying a fresh set of eyes on a given situation. Sotaris recommends the methodology of
creating audit teams consisting of Sotaris personnel and our client’s internal resources. By operating in this fashion,
client’s benefit from Sotaris’ wide-ranging experience, while adhering to mandated periodic schedules.
